Hello everyone!

So why we chose to implement Work 4 All, was actually pretty easy. Our current situation in Australia of the number of people suffering for a mental disorder is high and on the rise. When talking about MS. It is a common trait that more females suffer from this disorder. At the moment there are around 23,700 people diagnosed with the disease. From some previous stats in 2009, an estimated only 9.800 people were employed and of this number only 5900 are part time. So proving that an estimated 12,700 people with MS have an employment restriction placed upon them. (62.5%).

Alongside of MS, there are people that have learning disabilities this makes it difficult for them to become employed. 143,000 Aussie kids are currently suffering with a learning disability. Which equates to 10-16% of students. So you can see how introducing this app would provide a positive opportunity to our country.

Depression is a killer for many countries and Australia is no stranger to it. Depression costs the Australian economy $6.3 billion each year in lost productivity and absenteeism. Every year, around 6% of all adult Australians are affected by a depressive illness. If you're reading this and thinking oh well, why would it affect me. The thing is, it might not affect you at the present moment but it is estimated that 45% of people will experience a mental health condition in their lifetime. On average 1 in 5 women and 1 in 8 men will experience depression at some stage of their lives.

Of course, no one would want this to affect their lives and try and live as best to normality as possible. So as an average 4 out of 10 Australians who take sick leave for depression will keep it hidden from their employer. This is a serious issue in our economy and hopefully with implementing our app we can minimize people from feeling they are undervalued and in fear of loosing their job. There is this awesome Quiz on depression you should check out! - Beyond Blue- Depression Checklist

The media is doing its best to make an impact in defeating this enemy, there are a lot more awareness causes such as mental health week and mental health month. On Twitter and other social media give us a follow - Work - 4- All. You can see some connections we share with some of these large organisations. Such as Beyond Blue, Mental Health Australia etc.

I hope you found this read interesting! Can wait to feed you more info.
